Trilok Gurtu is a five-time winner of Best Percussionist in DownBeat magazine’s critics’ poll. He has played with everyone who is anyone at the sharp edge of world fusion and modern jazz and enthralled audiences all over the world with compositions that link subtle Indian and African rhythms with elements of jazz, rock and funk. For this, the inaugural concert of the Waltons World Masters Series, he performed with a stellar group of Indian and international musicians.
