School Closure & Online Tuition
Waltons New School of Music
The government has announced that Ireland will move to Level 5 in its Framework for Restrictive Measures starting at midnight on Wednesday, October 21st and lasting for six weeks – that is, at least until early December.
Although the New School remains a safe space, and we have done everything we can to keep it so, unfortunately the school building will be closed from Thursday, October 22nd, and as much of our tuition as possible will be moved online. Tuition at the school will take place as normal until tomorrow (Wednesday) evening.
The quality and continuity of our students’ music tuition is very important to us, and I can assure you that we will do everything we can to maintain the same high standards online as we do in the school itself. And we will return to in-school tuition again as soon as Dublin returns to Level 3 or below.
We wish our in-school students every success with online tuition and look forward to welcoming them back to the school premises as soon as it safe for both students and faculty to return.
Our administrative staff will be working from home during this period, so if you would like to get in touch with us please use our Contact Us form or call us on the school’s mobile number, (086) 869 5415.
We also suggest that you ‘like’ the New School’s Facebook page, where we will post any updates regarding this situation.
Finally, please note that we are still accepting enrolments for this term and/our Second Term, starting in January.
Stay well – and thank you for supporting our music community.
