Ruth GahanHailing from Co. Tipperary, Ruth began her music study at an early age. She received her BA degree in Music from the Waterford Institute of Technology, where she specialized in classical voice, and went on to receive an MA in Musicology and Performance from NUI Maynooth. She has performed extensively as both a singer and a pianist, and she is an enthusiastic choral singer and director, having worked with many choirs – including Cuore, Euphonics and Belle Harmonics – as a soloist, choral singer, director and arranger. Ruth has taught both voice and piano to students of all ages and skill levels with several Irish music schools, and she is also a Local Centre Examiner with the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
