Outreach Private & Partner Lessons
Waltons New School of Music
Private (one-to-one) and Partner (two-person) lessons in some of the most popular instruments we teach at the New School (as well as singing) can be arranged for your school or centre, giving students the benefit of expert teaching in a familiar environment. Our fees are also significantly lower than the fees charged in a music school setting, with the added advantage that students do not have to travel. Lessons can take place during or after school hours.
Instruments Offered
We offer lessons in the following instruments:
Bodhrán
Clarinet
Concert Flute
Guitar
Irish Fiddle
Piano
Recorder
Saxophone
Singing (Voice)
Tin Whistle
Ukulele
Violin
A minimum teaching block of three hours is required for each participating teacher. (This minimum can be reduced to one hour in addition to a group course.) The block can be divided flexibly, depending on the students’ interests and skill levels, with six options available: 30-, 45- or 60- minute private lessons, or 30-, 45- or 60-minute partner lessons.
Participating students will need their own instruments (or access to instruments) to bring to their lessons and practice at home. For piano and singing lessons (and ideally for violin lessons), your school or centre will need an acoustic upright piano or digital piano with weighted keys, in good working condition and in tune. Because of the New School’s affiliation with Waltons Music Ireland, we can also arrange instruments – either for your school or centre to purchase or for parents to purchase – at discounted prices, if required.
