We are now enrolling for our 2019 Summer Term, which offers tuition in wide range of instruments as well as some of our most popular group courses and workshops.
Private, Partner & Small Group Lessons
30-, 45- and 60-minute private, partner and small group lessons are offered during the Summer Term for a wide range of instruments (including voice/singing). Students enrolling for lessons can choose one or both parts of the Summer Term:
- Part One (5 Weeks): 2 July – 1 August
- Part Two (4 Weeks): 6 – 29 August

July Music Technology Course (5 weeks)
This summer version of our popular Introducing Music Technology course is designed to teach absolute beginners how a PC and inexpensive home studio technology can be used to record and produce virtually anything at home.

August Songwriting Workshop (4 evenings)
How is a song written? What is a hook? What makes rhyme? Which comes first, melody or lyrics? In The Art & Craft of Songwriting, a four-day, twelve-hour summer workshop, acclaimed singer-songwriter Melanie O’Reilly will answer these frequently asked questions and many more. Step by step, she will take you through the songwriting process, integrating the craft’s many skills into a seamless artistic whole. Melanie has taught The Art & Craft of Songwriting at the New School since 2004.

Intensive Lessons
Single one-hour Intensive Lessons for individuals or groups – and for all skill levels – can be arranged for almost any instrument (including voice/singing), subject to teacher availability. We can also arrange short courses of intensive lessons.
