Laoise is a vocalist, musician, music educator, and music therapist hailing from Dublin. Her musical journey began with studying voice at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, and she went on to receive a BA degree in Music from Goldsmiths College, University of London. Laoise also holds a Master’s degree in Music Therapy with first-class honours from the University of Limerick. In her therapeutic work, she provides music therapy to children and adults, addressing a wide range of physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. Laoise’s eclectic style blends elements of folk, traditional, and popular music, creating a unique and soulful sound. As a songwriter and composer, she incorporates lyrical storytelling with piano accompaniments, drawing inspiration from powerful female artists like Sinéad O’Connor and Kate Bush. Her teaching philosophy is collaborative and student-centred, focusing on nurturing creativity and personal expression.
