Intensive Lessons

Single one- or two-hour Intensive Lessons for individuals or small groups – and for all skill levels – can be arranged for almost any instrument (including voice/singing) taught at Waltons New School of Music, as well as music theory, Leaving Cert. Music, music technology and songwriting. (See Intensive Lessons for more information and a list of instruments/subjects available.) We offer both In-School Intensive Lessons at the New School and Online Intensive Lessons, which take place in your own home.

Intensive Lessons are a flexible approach to music tuition and are ideal for:

  • Students who would like to schedule their lessons on different days/times or at different frequencies (i.e. every two or three weeks) or who cannot be accommodated on our regular timetable.
  • Students preparing for performances, auditions, entrance examinations, competitions or practicals.
  • Prospective students who would like to ‘try out’ lessons before committing to longer-term enrolment.

Intensive Lesson booking must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Except for wind instruments and uilleann pipes, instruments may be borrowed for use in ‘in person’ Intensive Lessons – subject to availability – if required. Those taking online instrumental Intensive Lessons will need to have their own instruments.

* Two-hour Intensive Lessons are suitable for intermediate-advanced instrumentalists, singers or groups, or for music theory, music technology or songwriting.

Please use this form if you would like to book one or more in-school or online Intensive Lessons with the New School. In order to confirm teacher availability, you should book your Intensive Lesson(s) at least 24 hours in advance.

  • This is an booking – not an enquiry – form, so please complete it only if you intend to book one or more Intensive Lessons for yourself or your child. If you would like to make an enquiry about Intensive Lessons or the tuition we offer, use our contact form instead.
  • Submission of this form does not guarantee an Intensive Lesson booking, and a deposit or full fee payment is required to confirm it.
  • We will get in touch after you submit the form to arrange your Intensive Lesson(s) teacher, day(s) and time(s). We can then take your tuition payment over the phone, arrange a time for you to drop by the school office to pay in person or send you an invoice to pay online.

AGREEMENT

I understand that:

  1. Either full fee payment or a non-refundable booking deposit of €25, payable by credit/debit card or cash (in-school Intensive Lessons only), is required to confirm an Intensive Lesson(s) booking.
  2. If booking Intensive Lesson(s) with a deposit, the balance of the fee, payable by credit/debit card or cash (in-school Intensive Lessons only), is due before the lesson(s) begin(s).
  3. If this booking is for one or more in-school Intensive Lessons, I have read and agree to the New School’s COVID-19 Safety Policy.
  4. If this booking is for one or more online Intensive Lessons, I understand all of the technical requirements needed to access and participate in the lesson(s). (See our Zoom for Students information sheet.)
