Sarah began her music journey as a singer/songwriter in 2017. Her music soon received widespread acclaim, amassing over 8 million streams across all streaming platforms, which led to her signing with the renowned independent label AWAL. She spent the next three years touring throughout the UK and Ireland, playing in venues such as the O2 Forum Kentish Town, performing in festivals such as All Together Now, and making TV appearances on the likes of RTÉ's Other Voices. After spending a few years living in London and Los Angeles and working in the music industry, she now resides in Dublin as a full-time music teacher and songwriting mentor. Also with years of formal education under her belt, studying Music in UCD and Songwriting in BIMM Dublin, Sarah is an in-demand teacher of several instruments, as well as songwriting and music theory, with different music schools. Arguably her most satisfying work is with Sub Sounds, where she mentors teens in songwriting, musical development and live performance.
'My primary focus when teaching is to go with students at their own pace. I believe the most beneficial and encouraging environment for a student is one where pressure and pessimism aren’t present. I grew up dreading going to lessons and classes because of the intense pressure I faced, and the last thing I want is for any of my students to feel as I once did. There is no reason why music tuition can't be fun while also being a real learning experience! I constantly strive to ensure that students of mine leave their lessons or classes feeling that they have taken a creative leap, large or small. My job would feel pointless otherwise.'
